Management Overview
SAP integration with Microsoft SMS Server 2003 is of a particular value to organizations that want to leverage their investment in SMS resulting in a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Organizations can use the existing functionality provided by SMS to deploy SAP mobile components.
SAP ODM integration provides the following functionality:
· Allows you to download SAP Mobile components from the SAP system and to create the necessary SMS packages for successful deployment.
● Establishes a link between a laptop computer being managed by SMS and a logical device in the SAP system.
● Notifies the SAP system of mobile component assignment or unassignment, whenever an SMS advertisement is assigned to a device.
