Synchronizing Applications and
Data
Synchronization is the data-exchange process between your Mobile Client for Handhelds and back-end systems through the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE). Synchronization comprises:
● Downloading applications, for which you have authorization
● Uploading data from your Handheld to the DOE
● Downloading data from the DOE to your Handheld
These tasks are performed automatically once synchronization has been started.
You have:
· Configured the connection settings
More information: Configuring the Connection Settings
· Configured the sync settings

● Logged onto the client

...
From the Menu, choose Sync.
The client displays the sync log and a progress bar.

On first-time synchronization, your client is automatically registered on the DOE.
After synchronization with the DOE:
· Any new applications that have been assigned to you appear as application icons or links.
· The application data is updated for the installed applications.
· If you have updated data in an application, the modified data is uploaded to the DOE.
