You can use appliancecontrol to manage the SAP system on the technical level. appliancecontrol is a command line tool that you run after installing it on the master blade.

You can perform the following standard tasks:

  • Display information about the statue of the SAP system and its instances

  • Display information about the distribution of the instances among the blades

  • Start and stop instances.

  • Back up and restore data.

  • Check the prerequisites for successful installation of SAP instances

  • Add blades and install further instances.

Special tasks, such as those listed below should be performed only by experienced administrators if necessary:

  • Deleting instances

  • Configuring instances manually

  • Performing individual steps in the automatic technical configuration (CTC templates) manually or undoing these
