Connecting SAP ERP 6.0 Systems (ERP 2005)

The system must be SES-enabled.
More information: Initial Configuration (documentation for SES)
To connect an SAP ERP 6.0 system to SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search, you require the following information:
System ID and client of the SAP ERP 6.0 system that you want to connect to SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search
System number of the SAP ERP 6.0 system that you want to connect to SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search
Application server, for example, cde.location.company.corp
Password of the Search_Conn system user on the SAP ERP 6.0 system.
Recommendation
We recommend that you note the required information before starting the actual connection procedure.
Establish a trusted relationship between SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search and the back-end system.
More information: Creating a Trusted Relationship with Enterprise Search
Prepare the back-end system.
More information: Preparing an ERP 6.0 (ERP 2005) System for Enterprise Search
Create a search object connector based on a template.
Note
You must create search object connectors for each object type that you want to search for (Material, Customer, and so on).
In transaction RZ11, you must assign the value 4 to the auth/new_buffering profile parameter so that changes in user data are available without delay and can be subsequently indexed. Then schedule object USER_AUTHORITY for delta indexing.
