To integrate SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search into the existing system landscape, you require the software units and information stated below. We recommend that you gather this information before starting the configuration tasks described in the following sections.

Software Requirements

  • Cryptographic tools:

    • SAPCRYPTOLIB (already used during the installation)

    • SAPGENPSE

    • License ticket file for SAPCRYPTOLIB (ticket, should be included in SAPCRYPTOLIB archive)

    The SAPCRYPTOLIB library is bound to German export regulations and may be subject to import regulations for your country.

    SAP Note 397175 – SAP Cryptographic Software - Export control describes the prerequisites for downloading the cryptographic tools.

  • SAPServerCA.der

    Download the root certificate SAPServerCA.der from SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/trust.

    To do this, you require an SAP Service Marketplace user.

Operating System/Network

  • Network configuration to be used for the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search system in the user LAN

    • Host name

    • IP address

    • Subnet mask

    • Gateway

  • Network configuration to be used for the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search system in the server LAN

    • Host name

    • IP address

    • Subnet mask

    • Gateway

  • DNS/NTP server

LDAP

  • Server name

  • Server type (for example Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory)

  • Server port

  • Protocol version (for example LDAP version 3)

  • User name (can be a read-only user) and password

  • User path (base entry)

  • Group path

  • UME unique ID

  • Attribute that holds the SAP user name

SAP Web Dispatcher of the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search System

  • Host name

  • Password defined for the webadm user

SAProuter of the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search System (for SAPOSS connection (optional))

  • Host name

  • User and password
