The Universal Worklist (UWL) provides central access to Business Process Management (BPM) tasks, and also enables you to manage and monitor your tasks simply and centrally. You access the UWL user interface to see new tasks that are assigned to you, as well as existing tasks that need action. You can start the actual processing of the work items from the UWL user interface. The UWL does the following:

  • Provides a uniform layout and central access to your BPM tasks and displays details about the tasks.

  • Helps you personalize the display of your tasks.

  • Enables you to define another user as a substitute for your tasks in the event of unplanned absence.

  • Enables you to directly open the process list to display processes.
