Main Menu 
The main menu includes options for working with your models, customizing the Storyboard display, and defining general modeling options.
The following table describes each menu item:

New |
Displays the Create New Model dialog box, in which you specify information about the model that you want to create. More information: |
Open |
Displays the Manage task panel, in which you select the model that you want to open. More information: |

Close |
Closes the currently-active model. If there are unsaved changes in the model, you are prompted to save them before closing the model. More information: Closing a Model |

Close All |
Closes all the open models. If there are unsaved changes in a model, you are prompted to save them before closing each model the model. |

Save |
Saves the changes made to the currently-active model since the last save operation. More information: Saving a Model |
|
Save As |
Displays the Save As Local Copy dialog box, in which you specify a new name under which to save a copy of the model in the local repository. More information: |

Save All |
Saves the changes made to all open models since the last save operation. More information: Saving a Model |
|
Import |
Imports a model from the file system to the local repository. More information: |
|
Export |
Export a model from the local repository to a compressed zip file on the file system. More information: |

Recent Models |
List of recently opened models. Choose a model to open it in Storyboard. You can define the number of models displayed in the list using the Options pane ( |

Log Off |
Closes Visual Composer. If there are unsaved changes in any open models, you are prompted to save them before exiting Visual Composer. |

Edit |
Undo |
Cancels the last performed operation. |
Redo |
Performs the last undone operation. |
|
Cut |
Enables you to remove the selected item from your model and save it to the Clipboard. |
|
Copy |
Enables you to copy the selected item to the Clipboard. You can use this option to copy part or all of the contents of one model, and paste them as a copy into the same model or as new elements into another model. |

Paste |
Enables you to paste the contents of the Clipboard into the active model. You can use this option to copy part or all of the contents of one model, and paste them as a copy into the same model or as new elements into another model. |
|
Rename |
Activates edit mode for the name of the currently-selected element, so that you can change its name. |
|
Delete |
Deletes the currently selected elements. |
|
Select All |
Selects all elements on the Design board. |
|
View |
Task Panel |
Displays the specific task panel that you choose from the Task Panel submenu. |
Task Panel Position |
Displays the task panel on the left or the right of Storyboard. |

Show Task Panel |
Shows or hides the task panel area. |
|
Console |
Shows or hides the console area. |
|
Zoom In |
Zooms in to display the model elements on the Design board at a greater magnification level. |
|
Zoom Out |
Zooms out to display the model elements on the Design board at a smaller magnification level. |
|
Fit Window |
Changes the magnification level of the Design board to fit all elements in the display. |
|
Actual Size |
Changes the magnification level of the Design board to show elements at their original size. |
|
Source Control |
Add Model to Source Control |
Enables you to tag a development component in the local repository for source control and check the development component and all of its models in to the shared repository or source control system. More information: Add to Source Control Dialog Box |
Check Out |
Checks out the selected model from the shared repository or source control system. This copies it to your local repository so you can work on it and prevents it from being modified by other users. More information: Checking Out a Model |

Check In |
Checks in a model previously checked out from the shared repository or source control system. After a model is checked in, it can be used and modified by others. More information: Checking In a Model |
|
Revert |
Cancels all changes to a model since it was last checked out or added to the shared repository or source control system. The current model is replaced by the previous version saved in the shared repository or source control system. More information: Reverting to the Last Checked-In Version of a Model |
|
Sync |
Synchronizes a local version of the selected model with the latest version checked in to the source control system or shared repository. More information: Synchronizing a Model |
|
Refresh |
Updates the tree in the Manage Models task panel so that it displays the most current folder and model information. |
|
Tools |
Manage Services |
Displays the Manage Services dialog box, for organizing and reassigning back-end systems from which data services have been added to the model. More information: Manage Services Dialog Box |
Find All Expressions |
Searches for all expressions defined in the component. More information: Find All Expressions Dialog Box |

Service Component Wizard |
Opens a wizard that enables you to model a service component and add data and input ports to it. More information: Service Component Wizard |

Options |

Migration Wizard |

Query Wizard |
