You can set generic views for process instances in the Guided Procedures (GP) design time. Additionally, each view has its own contextual navigation panel components. The table below summarizes the possible generic views for process instances.
Generic Views for Process Instance
View |
Description |
Process Activities |
In this view, you perform the pending activities and tasks. By choosing Attachments, you can access attachments assigned to the current action. You can also assign additional attachments here. For more information about attachments, see further below in this table and Core Elements of the Runtime. The Process Activities view has five variants, which you can select in the design time. Each of these variants has different components of the contextual navigation panel assigned. Variant 1 with the components: ● Current activity (application area) ● Activities (Activity Navigator) Variant 2 with the components: ● Overview of process activities (application area) ● You Can (You Can Navigator) ● Activities (Activity Navigator) Variant 3 with the components: ● Current activity (application area) ● Activities (Activity Navigator) ● You Can (You Can Navigator) Variant 4 with the components: ● Current activity (application area) ● Activities (Activity Navigator) ● Process Control (Elements of Process Control) ● You Can (You Can Navigator) Variant 5 with the components: ● Current activity (application area) ● Phases (Mini Phase Navigator) ● Activities (Activity Navigator) ● You Can (You Can Navigator) |
Overview |
This view provides a purely process-oriented overview. You get information about the following process details: ● Alerts and warnings ● Your next activities ● Your future activities ● Process status (with progress bar) ● Main data ● Process roles In addition, the component Process Control (Elements of Process Control) is assigned to this view. |
Process Information |
This view shows the following details of all process activities that you are authorized to read: ● Process owner (Role) ● Deliverables ● Attachments ● Notes In addition, the component Options (Info Callable Object Navigator) is assigned to this view. |
Additional Resources |
This view displays attachments, which provide you with information while you are executing a process. These attachments include: ● Files (File) ● URLs (URL) ● User (User) These attachments are valid at process level and are therefore visible to all process contributors. The system displays the attachments. However, the system displays only those attachments that were assigned at process level. There are two ways to assign attachments to a process: ... ... ● You can do this in the design time. ● You can do this in the current view using the function Add Attachments. See: Attachments. In addition, the component You Can (You Can Navigator) is assigned to this view. |
● Using attachments at runtime
● Assigning generic views and creating customized (user-defined) views
● Contextual navigation panel
