Search Task Panel for BI Data Services 
You can also use the Search task panel to locate and import BI data services required as data sources for your composite views or planning applications. When searching for BI data services, you can search in SAP NetWeaver BI system or in non-SAP systems connected via JDBC.
When searching for BI data services, use the items from the Search task panel as follows:

Select an SAP NetWeaver BI system or a non-sap system connected via JDBC where you want to search. |
Search for |
Enter the name of the data service or component you want to locate. You can use an asterisk (*) in the string as a wildcard to search for a partial match. |
Type |
In an SAP NetWeaver BI system you can search for Query, Query View, InfoProvider, Filter or Characteristic. In a non-SAP system connected via JDBC you can search for Table. |
Results |
Displays the items that match the search criteria. |
