The Search task panel enables you to locate and import data services required as the sources of information processed in a component, for example, BAPIs, RFCs, Web services, and SAP enterprise services. You can also use the Search task panel to locate existing components to reuse them in your model. You search for the required data service or component, and then drag it onto the Design board from the Search task panel.
When searching for enterprise services, you can search for an operation in a specific enterprise service, or you can search through the entire service repository, filtering by classification to locate the required enterprise service.
The Search task panel contains the following items:

The system in which you want to search, for example, R3, Web Service, Service Registry, or Visual Composer Models. |
Search for |
The name of the data service or component that you want to locate. You can use an asterisk (*) in the string as a wildcard to search for a partial match. |
Type |
The type of data service, for example, Bapi/RFC, WSDL, or Service Registry. You can also choose DC to search for a development component or Model to search for a specific named component. The available types depend on the option you selected in the Search in field. |
Search |
Performs the search according to the specified parameters. If you selected Services Registry in the Search in field, the Search... button launches the Services Registry Wizard in which you specify the search criteria. |
Cancel |
Cancels the search currently being performed. |
Advanced Search |
Opens a dialog box in which you can select the repository, software component, and development component in which you want to search. More information: Advanced Search Dialog Box This option is only available when Visual Composer Models is selected in the Type field. |
Results |
Displays the items that match the search criteria. Depending on the search criteria, the Results area may show data services, models, or development component and model hierarchy. You can then drag an item from the Results area onto the Design board for use in your model. The Results area also displays any errors that occur during the search operation. |
