Procedure documentation Configuring Destinations for Old Types of CAF Applications  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This section is relevant only if you want to use CAF applications, created with SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment with version older than Enhancement Package 1. There is a difference in the configuration of the destinations for such applications, that you have to perform to be able to use these applications. To be able to execute an external service at runtime, you must configure the Web service or RFC destination where the service implementation resides and map it to the external service definition in CAF.

Prerequisites

You have a CAF application created with SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment with version prior to Enhancement Package 1.

You have imported an external service and deployed it during design time. For more information, see Importing Web Services or Importing RFC Modules.

You have configured Web service or RFC destinations in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator at runtime. For more information, see Creating Web Service Physical Destinations or Maintaining RFC Destinations.

Procedure

       1.      Open the SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool. Navigate to Configuration Management Security Destinations and open the CAF Configuration tab page.

       2.      From the External Services tree, choose a Web service or an RFC.

       3.      From the Destinations tree, choose an appropriate destination.

       4.      Choose Map, and then Save.

You can test your external service in the Service Browser.
