Prerequisites 

You install Visual Composer as part of the NetWeaver Composition Environment installation, using the additional Composition Tools installation option.

Before you begin using Visual Composer, be sure that Visual Composer has been configured according to the instructions outlined in Configuring Visual Composer, and that you meet the following prerequisites:

·        Your Administrator has assigned you the VisualComposerUser role. The assignment is made using NetWeaver Administrator. For more information, see the User Administrator and Authentication section of the Visual Composer Security Guide.

·        The following items have been installed on the client computer from which you access Visual Composer Storyboard:

¡        Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or higher

○       Adobe SVG Viewer 3.0

○       Microsoft XML Parser 4.0 or higher

·        To use SAP system BAPIs/RFCs as a source of data in your models, the relevant system is correctly defined in NetWeaver Administrator. For more information, see Maintaining RFC Destinations.

●      To use Web services and enterprise services as a source of data in your models, their destinations are correctly defined in NetWeaver Administrator. If you are locating these Web services by querying the Services Registry, you also need to configure a connection to the Services Registry (as well as defining a destination for the Services Registry). For more information, see Creating Web Service Physical Destinations.

 

After Visual Composer is installed and correctly configured, you are ready to begin using Visual Composer to model applications. For more information, see Accessing Visual Composer and Introducing the Storyboard Desktop.
