Use

The copy wizard allows you to copy and reuse Guided Procedures (GP) development objects in two basic ways. You can:

·        Create a copy of the selected object using a reference to the original object.

Create an actual copy of the selected object and place it in the target folder.

In addition, you can copy all of the selected object’s children so that the whole object structure is seamlessly replicated to a different location, keeping object details and mappings intact. Once you have copied an object, you can paste it to different locations multiple times.

Prerequisites

·        You have the appropriate rights to work with GP design time.

Procedure

...

       1.      From the GP gallery, select a single object (for example, a process template) and choose Copy.

       2.      Navigate to the folder in which you want to paste the object.

       3.      Choose Paste.

In the Copy Dialog, you can see the object with its sub items displayed in a hierarchical tree.

       4.      Select the objects for which you want to create an actual copy by enabling the corresponding checkbox. Deselect all objects that you want to use as references only.

Note

Choose Show Details to view information about object IDs and the date of the last modification. In the dialog, you can also change the names and descriptions of the object copies.

       5.      Choose OK.

       6.      The actual copies appear in the selected destination folder.

Note

Objects that you have copied as references to the originals are not physically replicated to the destination folder.

       7.      To be able to use the development objects at runtime, you must activate them first.
