Testing a ServiceLocate this document in the navigation structure

You can test your Web service (provider) to ensure that it conforms to SAP standards. The test only checks the WSDL document for your service. It does not perform a ping or any other tests.

Prerequisites

To be able to test a Web service, you first need to set up the Web Service Navigator once.

Procedure

  1. Open SOA Manager.
  2. Go to the Service Administration tab.
  3. Select Web Service Administration.
  4. Search for the releant Web service definition.
    In the Search Criteria, select Service Definition as the Object Type.
  5. Open the service from the Search Result list.
  6. Click the GUI_ICON_HTM (Open Service/Binding WSDL Generation) icon for the service or binding.

  7. Click the Web Service Navigator icon.
    The results are displayed. If any errors were found, you should fix them before publishing the service.
    Note Alternatively, if you already know the URL of the WSDL file, you can perform the test via the Tools tab in SOA Manager and selecting WSDL Analyzer.
