Setting Up a Connection to a J2EE Server for the Web Services NavigatorLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

To be able to use the Web Service Navigator to test a Web service, you need to set up a connection to a J2EE server, because the Web Service Navigator runs on the Java stack.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Technical Administration tab.
  2. Choose Global System Settings .
  3. Choose the Web Services Navigator tab.
  4. Choose Edit / Display .
  5. Specify a host name and a port number.
  6. If you are working with a J2EE engine with SAP NetWeaver 2004 or 7.0, select J2EE engine is 6.40 / 7.0 .

    If this option is not selected, the system assumes that you are working with a J2EE engine with version 7.10 or later.

  7. Save.
