BI SAP Query System Properties

Use

The BI SAP Query system template provides business intelligence functionality to systems you create based on SAP systems R/3 4.6C or later, and which are supported by the SAP Java Connector.

Note

Some connection properties may not be required for your system. For the set of connection properties relevant for your system, refer to the SAP Java Connector documentation.

If you have trouble establishing a connection to a server that does not have a PUBLIC logon group, try removing the properties for SAP Name and Server Group.

Category: BI / Business Intelligence
BI Directory Provider	If Yes , specifies that this BI system can be accessed from applications in the Business Explorer suite, where supported.
Category: Connection Properties - See Note Below Table
Application Server	Hostname for application server. For example, `server1.mydomain.com`
Client	Client specified as three-digit integer. For example, `000`
Message Server	Hostname for message server. For example, `server1.mydomain.com`
Query Area	Single-character value (char) specifying whether the SAP Query area is global (client-independent) or local (client-dependent). For example: `X` = global `[blank]` = local
RFC Trace	Authorization trace.
SAP Name	SAP System (R/3) name. For example, `B20`
Server Group	Logon group for load balancing. For example, `PUBLIC` or `SPACE`
SNC Level	SNC level of security.
SNC Mode	Secure network connection mode.
SNC Partner Name	Name of secure network connection partner.
System Number	Two-digit integer identifying the R/3 instance. For example, `00`
Category: Information	The property values in this category are assigned during the running of the System wizard and, except for Description , Object is a Template , and System Name are not for editing.
Description	An optional description of the system, if one was not inserted during the running of the System wizard.
Object is a Template	Defines the system you have created as a template upon which you can base other systems. If selected, this system will appear as a template the next time you go to create a system.
System Name	The name assigned to the system when running the System wizard. Mandatory, exists for each system.
Category: User Management
Logon Method	Specifies authentication mechanism. The two options are: `UIDPW` - Log on to your SAP Query system using User/Password. `SAPLOGONTICKET` - Log on to your SAP Query system using SAP Logon Ticket -- Single Sign-On (SSO).
User Mapping Type	Defines the type of user mapping needed for connection; who can perform user mapping Valid values: user/admin/admin,user For more information, see Editing System Properties .

CodeLink	A reference to the portal component upon which the system is based. Mandatory; assigned while running the System wizard.
com.sap.portal.reserved.system. ConnectionFactoryClass	The name of the BI SAP Query Connector, through which the system connects. It must take the form `SDK_XXXX` and the letters must be all upper-case. Mandatory when working with a connector.
ComponentType	The portal component (system) you have just created. Mandatory; required by the system landscape service.
System Type	Type of system. Mandatory; assigned while running the System wizard.
