Use

The Portal Content Studio provides a range of different editors that enable content administrators to customize and manage portal content objects.

Using Specialized Editors

You use the following specialized editors to define additional settings for an object:

  • Workcenter Role editor: for workcenter roles only

  • Freestyle Role editor: for freestyle roles and for advanced editing of workcenter roles

  • Workset editor

  • Page editor

  • Business Object editor: for business objects and operations used in object-based navigation

These editors are referred to as primary editors of the portal objects. When you edit an object that does not utilize a specialized editor (such as folders and layouts), the Properties editor (described below) functions as the primary editor.

You can launch secondary editors and tools for certain objects in the Portal Content Studio. These editors and tools provide additional information about the objects, and enable you to further enhance their capabilities. For more information about the different editors, see:

For information about the primary and secondary editors and tools, see Using Object Editors .

Using the Properties Editor

You use the Properties editor to view and edit the properties and attributes of portal objects. For each different type of portal object, the Properties editor contains a list of object-specific properties and attributes. For more information about the Properties editor, see Editing Object Properties .
