Change Organizer Layout

Changelists are displayed in a table in the upper screen area of the Change Organizer. Depending on your settings, you can see the name and description of a changelist, its status, and the responsible person. With different pushbuttons you can create new changelists and edit or delete existing ones.

In the table in the lower screen area you see the change versions, procedures, and related procedures that are contained in the selected changelist. You can view the properties and change process for every object. You can also revert change versions in a changelist or attach them to another changelist.

Display Options

You can change the following settings to adjust the selection and display of changelists and change versions and their properties:

  • Configure a user

If you call the Change Organizer, all changelists are displayed that belong to the logged-on user on this development system. Using the user filter you can change this display and either see all changelists or those of another user. In the user-specific view, changelists that belong to a team are also displayed if that particular user is a member of that team.

As a developer, you can only edit changelists that belong either to you or to a team of which you are a member. If you have administrator rights then you can also edit the changelists of other users and preselect changelists as default for other users.

You can find further information about user roles and their authorizations under Roles and Authorizations in Change Recording with the Change Organizer .

  • Select Time Period

When calling the Change Organizer, by default only those changelists are displayed that were changed in the last two weeks. You can also specify a shorter or longer time period.

  • Search for Changelists or Change Versions

With the search functions you can search for changelists and change versions using any properties you choose. For example, you can display all changelists that contain a change version with a specific name.

  • Set Filter

If the Change Organizer is only to display specific content of the changelist and change version table, then enter a filter for the table values. Using the filter, the display is reduced to those data records that match the filter. You can set multiple filters to reduce the filtered data amount even further. If you remove the filter then all data records of your previous selection are displayed.

Aside from the status filter with predefined values you can filter in all other table columns for the text that they contain.

Using the filter icon in the upper-right screen area you can show and hide the filter row.

When filtering you can use the vertical bar ( | ) character to enter multiple alternatives. For example, in this way you can use Standard | New in the name column filter to filter all changelists that contain either the word Standard or New .

  • Change Table Settings

Using different icons in the upper-right screen area you can specify how many rows and which attributes of the data records are displayed.

  • Sort Table Entries

You can sort table entries by column alphabetically by clicking on a column name. By pressing the Ctrl button you can select and sort multiple columns at once.

Detail View
  • Properties

Using Properties you can display different detail information using changelists or change versions, for example, the creation date or sequence number of a changelist. The properties Name , Description , and Owner of a changelist can be changed as well as the identifier if a changelist is preselected as default. You can modify a changelist and the change versions within it as long as the changelist has the status Open .

    For more information: Modifying Changelists

  • History

Using History you get detail information about the previous versions of a development object. You can see which user created, edited, or deleted the development object and when. Depending on a change verison, you can display all change versions of a development object. However, the system only displays the metadata and not the development object itself. You can display the changelist using a link.
