Prerequisites

A changelist that you want to modify must have status Open .

Procedure

Changing Attributes

Using Properties you can change the name, description, and owner of a changelist and preselect or deselect a changelist as default.

  1. Select the changelist that you want to modify and choose Properties .

  2. Make the changes you required in the Changelist Properties dialog box.

    You must have administrator rights to change the owner of a changelist. You can then either select an existing user or a team or enter one directly.

Moving Changes to Another Changelist

You can move changes that are already contained in a changelist to another changelist. You can only move the uppermost element of a hierarchy. If a change version is contained in a procedure, you can only move it using the procedure itself. Only using related procedures is it possible to move procedures that are combined in related procedures.

  1. Select the change versions or procedures to be moved and choose Move .

  2. In the Move dialog box, select an existing changelist or create a new one that the changes are to be moved to.

Note

You can shorten this procedure by simply dragging the selected elements to the required changelist.

Resetting Changes

If you do not want a change to be activated and then transported, you can undo it. You can only undo the uppermost element of a hierarchy. If a change version is contained in a procedure, you can only undo it using the procedure itself. Only using related procedures can you undo procedures that are combined in related procedures.

  1. Select the required elements you want to undo.

  2. Choose Undo .

    The change is removed from the list of elements that are contained in the changelist.

Deleting Changelists

You can delete changelists that you no longer need by selecting them and choosing Delete . If the changelists contain elements then these changes are reverted before the changelist is deleted.

You can only delete a changelist if it has the status Open .

Caution

You can irretrievably deactivate an active changelist that you no longer need by setting the status Closed without Transport . The changelist is then still displayed in the list of changelists but the changes can only be transported manually.

To close a changelist without transport, select it and choose Close without Transport in the context menu of the changelist.
