Context

System administrators use the Object Locking interface to see which objects are currently locked and to unlock locked objects.

You can release the locks on locked objects at any time, even if the life span and protection span have not expired. For more information about the life span and protection span of locked objects, see Setting the Time Span for Object Locking .

The lock manager collects and displays all the objects that are locked in the application. The Portal Content Directory (PCD) is registered as the application in the standard delivery so that all locked PCD objects are displayed for unlocking. You can add new applications by enhancing the program code to create another lock manager.
