
You must call up the proposal pool to create proposals for your translations, for example, or to display details on an existing proposal. You can access the proposal pool from the short text editor, or by using transaction SLPP.
Accessing from the Short Text Editor
After you have opened a short text object for translation, you can access the proposal pool as follows:
To display the proposals in the proposal pool for a source text, place the cursor in the translation line for the source text and choose

To display or edit proposals in the proposal pool for a source text, or to create a proposal for a source text, choose the icon in the status bar of the translation line. You see one of the following icons in the status bar of each translation line:
This icon appears if no proposals exist.
This icon appears if proposals exist in the proposal pool for the source text.
This icon appears if there is no match between the translation in the translation line and a proposal in the proposal pool for the source text.
If you want the proposal pool to be displayed in a movable dialog box in front of the short text editor when you translate short texts, select the Proposal Pool Maintenance Dialog Box checkbox in your settings. For more information, see Maintaining Short Text Editor Settings .

Accessing with Transaction SLPP
On the initial screen of transaction SLPP, check that the default source and target languages are correct for the proposals you want to display or edit. These values are taken from your translation settings. For more information on these settings, refer to Transaction SE63 and read the section "Defining Your Translator Settings".
In the Source and/or Target group boxes, enter the source text or target text or both of the proposal pool entry in the Text field.
If you want to create proposals in transaction SLPP, you must enter the target text of the proposal pool entry. You can change this text before you create a proposal. If you only enter the source text, the proposal pool screen appears in display mode.
Choose Find Proposal Pool Entry .
