Use

Each object type that you translate using SAP translation tools has its own ID.

For example, the short text object type messages in ABAP systems has the ID MESS .

The two- to four-character IDs have the following uses:

  • You can use the IDs to access objects directly for translation in transaction SE63, that is without using a worklist. For more information, see Translating Objects Directly .

  • The IDs are displayed in front of each object type in the worklist. For more information, see Worklists .

  • The IDs are displayed when you expand the object type nodes in the statistics.

For more information, see Translation Statistics and Statistics Display .

  • You can see the IDs when you monitor the progress of an evaluation run.

For more information, see Evaluations and Monitoring an Evaluation Run .
