Context

The translation statistics are displayed in a tree structure.

Procedure

  1. You can use the following functions to display detailed information within the statistics:

    Export to File

You can save statistics data to a local file in Excel → (.xls) format by choosing Export to File or the menu path Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Download End of the navigation path.

    Percent On/Off

You can display statistics data as percentages by choosing Percent On/Off or the menu path Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Percent On/Off End of the navigation path.

The first time you choose the Percent On/Off icon, the absolute numbers are replaced by percentages. The percentage of new and modified short text lines with a best proposal is displayed in the final column. This percentage is relative to the total number of new, modified, but also translated lines. It is displayed in blue. Choose the Percent On/Off icon a second time the percentage is relative to the total number of new and modified lines only. It is displayed in red.

Choose the Percent On/Off icon a third time the absolute numbers are displayed again, just like when you first displayed the statistics.

    Sort

You can maintain settings for sorting and sequence of translation statistics data by choosing Sort or the menu path Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Sort End of the navigation path.

The system then displays the Translation Statistics dialog box.

You can display the statistics as a graphic by choosing the Graphic pushbutton or the menu path Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Display Graphics End of the navigation path.

The system then displays the SAP Business Graphics dialog box.

You can display and evaluate the statistics according to various criteria.

For more information, see SAP Business Graphics.

The system displays a dialog box with information about the graph and translators the collection is assigned to.

By expanding the node Graphs you can display the name of the graph to which this collection is assigned and the target languages into which the collections assigned to this graph are translated.

By expanding the node Translators you can display the user name of the translators to whom this collection is assigned to.

    Display by User

If you have selected the checkbox Show Translator Assignments on the Options tab page you can display statistics data according to users by choosing the Display by User pushbutton or the menu path Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Display by User End of the navigation path.

    Add to Buffer

You can save a selection of collections to the buffer so that you can call up this selection in another transaction.

Highlight the collections you want to save to the buffer, you can use the Alt key to highlight more than one collection, then choose the Add to Buffer pushbutton.

    Recommendation

For example, in transaction SE63 this is a good way of making a note of which collection you want to call up a worklist for.

  2. The statistics provide you with the following information for short text objects:
    • Total : The total number of lines

    • New : The number of new lines

    • Modified : The number of modified lines

    • Translated : The number of translated lines

    • With Proposal : The number of new and modified lines for which a best proposal exists in the proposal pool

The statistics provide you with the following information for long text objects:

    • Total : The total number of objects

    • New : The number of new objects

    • Modified : The number of modified objects

    • Translated : The number of translated objects

  3. The system displays total values at the top of the screen. Lines refers to lines in short text objects, and Objects refers to lines in long text objects and forms.
  4. By clicking on a collection in the statistics, you can display the following information:
    • The graph to which it belongs. Graphs are used to organize collections into translation projects.

Translation coordinators then define the target languages for each graph in the system. You can expand this graph to see which languages translate this project.

    • The translators to whom the package is assigned for each language.

If this collection is assigned to other translators as well as you for your target language, you need to discuss how to proceed.

  5. By clicking on an object type ID in the statistics, you can find out what this object type ID stands for.
