Running the Application on the Mobile Client SimulatorLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure
  1. Create a new user for the mobile client simulator:

    1. In the mobile client simulator, choose Start of the navigation path Menu Next navigation step Create new user End of the navigation path.

    2. Enter your SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP Server user name and password (twice).

    3. Choose Create User .

  2. Configure the device for synchronization:

    1. Choose Start of the navigation path Manage Device Next navigation step Settings Next navigation step Connection Settings End of the navigation path and make the following entries:

      Client

      [NW AS client]

      Device name

      [name of your choice]

      Secure Configuration (https)

      Off

    2. Save your changes.

    3. Choose Start of the navigation path Menu Next navigation step Sync to  End of the navigation pathregister your device with the middleware and synchronize data with the Data Orchestration Engine.

  3. Run the application:

    1. In the mobile client simulator, choose Start of the navigation path Menu Next navigation step Application Launcher End of the navigation path.

    2. Choose OrderApp .

    3. Explore the table control capabilities:

      1. Resize table columns to show more or less data.

      2. Use the arrow icon in the upper right corner to display other columns.

      3. Scroll through the table entries by using the previous/next links or using the scroll bar on the right of the table (only shown if your table has more than five lines).

Note

To stop the mobile client simulator, choose Start of the navigation path Menu Next navigation step Exit End of the navigation path. It is important to stop the mobile client simulator properly since only one instance of the mobile client may be active on your desktop at any time.

If you just close the mobile client simulator window by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the window, the simulator continues to run in the background. If you have closed the window this way, you need to click the red square in the Console view of the NW Developer Studio to stop the Java process.
