Running the Mobile ApplicationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have deployed a Mobile Application.

Context

After you have developed, built, and deployed your Mobile Application, you can run it on the Mobile Client for Handhelds.

Procedure


  1. In the Service /Handheld UI /Application Explorers, select a development component or the Mobile Application.

  2. From the context menu, choose Start of the navigation path Run As  Next navigation step Mobile Application on Handheld End of the navigation path.

    This automatically generates an Eclipse run configuration that can subsequently be started directly using Start of the navigation path Run As Next navigation step Open Run Dialog End of the navigation path .

  3. In the Run dialog, expand the SAP Application node and select the required runtime configuration.

  4. Select the Runtime tab and, depending on the mobile runtime you want to use, choose:

    • Win32 simulator

    • Device connected through ActiveSync

Results

In a local environment, for testing purposes for example, the Mobile Client for Handhelds appears on your desktop, if you have defined your machine as the deploy location.
