Use

A layout set can be used for the display of an iView or for particular folders.

 

Integration

If a layout set is to be used for a folder, it must be referenced in a layout profile .

If you have administrator permissions, you can also select a layout set directly in the Detailsdialog box for a folder by choosing Settings →Presentation.To do this, activate the Presentation Enabled parameter in the configuration of the layout set in question (see table).

 

Features

You gather together (multiple) collection and resource renderers, a command group for the Details dialog box, and a layout controller in a layout set.

 

Note

The Parameter column in the table below contains the name of the parameters as displayed on the interface followed by the technical name where appropriate. You need these technical names for specifications in the object type handler (OTH).

 

The following parameters denote a layout set:

Enabled for Presentation Settings

Activate this parameter if you want the layout set to appear in the selection list of available layout sets for a folder.

To call up the selection list, choose Settings →Presentationin the Detailsdialog box for the folder in question.

You have to activate the layout service for the relevant repository so that you can use this parameter.

Screen Reader Enabled

No

If deactivated, the layout set is swapped for another layout set (parameter Fallback Layout Set for Screen Reader) if users set the option Activate Accessibility Featuresin the portal.

Fallback Layout Set for Screen Reader

No

Specifies a layout set that offers improved support for screen readers as opposed to this layout set configuration.

The specified layout set is accessed if users set the Activate Accessibility Featuresoption in the portal.

Layout Controller (rndLayoutController)

No

Specifies a layout controller to be used for the layout set.

Collection Renderer (rndCollectionRendererSettings)

No

Specifies the collection renderer settings to be used in the layout set.

Depending on the layout controller used, you can assign a collection renderer for each flavor in the layout controller.

Resource Renderer (rndResourceRendererSettings)

No

Specifies the resource renderer settings to be used in the layout set.

Depending on the layout controller used, you can specify different resource renderers. For example, one to display resources in a tree structure, and another to display resources in a table.

Commands for the Details Menu (rndDetailsCommandGroup)

No

Specifies a command group to be used in the corresponding Details dialog box.

 

Activities

To create a layout set or modify an existing one, choose Content Management → User Interface →Settings →Layout Set.
