Portal Role: Reporting, Analysis and Planning
In the portal, the Reporting, Analysis and Planning portal role is a main entry point for your work with BEx objects and BW objects, which includes analysis and reporting as well as planning.
Technical name of the portal role: com.sap.ip.bi.bi_showcase
The system administration for the portal has assigned you the role as a user.
The Reporting, Analysis and Planning portal role includes content from the two portal roles Business Explorer and Business Planning.
Whereas the Business Explorer portal provides an example of how users can work with BEx objects and BW objects in the portal to analyze business data and to distribute it while using Knowledge Management and collaboration functions, the Business Planning portal role allows business experts to model planning applications.
You can also use the new Workspace Designer. This allows you to create new models for data analysis or to enhance existing models.
