Use

In the portal, the Business Planning portal role provides users with a central point of access, which contains the various Business Planning tools.

Technical name of the portal role: com.sap.ip.bi.business_planning_showcase

Prerequisites

The system administration for the portal has assigned you the role as a user.

Overview

This initial page provides an overview of the content of this portal role. The planning modeler is the main application for accessing, modeling, testing, and administrating the objects for which it is necessary to build a planning model in BW Integrated Planning.

The system calls the Planning Modeler with the relevant view in the portal:

InfoProvider

Select this view to edit the planning-specific properties of an InfoProvider and assign characteristic relationships and data slices.

Aggregation level

Select this view to create and edit InfoProviders of type aggregation level.

Filter

Select this view to create and edit reusable filters in reporting, analysis and planning.

Planning functions

Select this view to create and edit system-supported planning functions for creating and editing data.

Planning Sequences

Select this view to define the planning sequences that enable you to execute planning functions and manual input screens in a sorted sequence.
