
To get e-mail to work in conjunction with Collaboration Workflow you have to configure the e-mail notification.
Navigate to .
Choose the notification service you want to use. If you don't have the KM installed with the portal then change the Notification Service to Java Mail .
If the portal comes with the KM services and you want use the KMC mail notification, the Notification Service should be CM Notification .
Now navigate to .
For Java mail notifications configure the parameters, which are explained in the following table.

Troubleshooting E-Mail Notifications
I do not get any e-mail notifications when using collaboration task. What needs to be configured to receive e-mail notifications through the KM notification service?
Check that for the process creator a (correct) e-mail address has been configured:

Edit Channels: EMAIL , for example, enter SMTP as the Type and enter the server name. Password should be empty (depending on the server requirements).

Following is an example of a collaboration task notification.
The format is not configurable - when a task has been updated or completed, any changed task attribute is displayed in bold. If the third notification option is chosen, task creation is considered an update and will generate a notification. For example: A Workflow task has been completed.
