The following procedure includes steps that the operator might perform to view a 3D model work instruction for a disassembly operation.

Prerequisites

  • You have placed the Reallight_Transsmission_with_Steps.rh file on a Web server and added a MIME type for the .rh file extension.

  • On the client device, you have installed Right Hemisphere viewer and associated the .rh file extension with it (see Setting Up Visual Test and Repair).

  • You have defined the following objects:

    SAP ME Object

    Object Name

    Comments/Configuration

    Material

    TRANSMISSION

    Associated with the ROUT1 routing

    Operation

    DIS_ASSEMBLY

    Associated with the DEFAULT resource

    Routing

    ROUT1

    Contains the operation DIS_ASSEMBLY as the first operation; assigned to the TRANSMISSION material

    Work Instruction

    TRANSMISSION_DIS-ASSEMBLY

    Main tab page of Work Instruction Maintenance:

    • Version — A

    • Required — selected

    • Current Version — selected

    • Log Viewing — selected

    Instructions tab page:

    • TypeURL

  • You have created a shop order for the TRANSMISSION material.

  • You have released the shop order with a quantity of 1.

Procedure

  1. Open the default Operation POD (POD — Operation).

  2. Enter the DIS-ASSEMBLY operation.

  3. Enter the DEFAULT resource.

  4. Enter the SFC number of the released shop order.

  5. Choose the Work Instruction POD button.

  6. Choose the Steps icon on the Deep View screen.

  7. Choose the right arrow icon in the Steps pane of the Deep View screen.

    The 3D model of the first step of the disassembly process of the work instruction is displayed.

  8. Choose the right arrow icon in the Steps pane to view the 3D model for the second step of the disassembly process.
