Maintaining Term Status for Target Language TermsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

To maintain the status of a term, you need superuser authorization for your target language.

Context

Superusers who want to maintain the status of their translations of a source term need to follow a different procedure for maintaining term status in SAPterm.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction STERM
  2. Now set your target language as the Source Language and your source language as the Target Language.
  3. Enter the term and choose Find. Alternatively, use Selection Criteria to call up a number of terms based on your requirements (for example, all terms from a specific component with status 1 and 2).
The results list appears containing all terms found.
  4. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Display Status End of the navigation path.

The status of the terms is displayed as follows in the results list.

    • Status 1: New Status 1: New

    • Status 2: Changed Status 2: Changed

    • Status 3: Released Status 3: Released

  5. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Edit Entry End of the navigation path.
    The Edit Entry screen appears.
  6. Choose Save Save.

If you have SAPterm superuser authorization, the message Do you want to release the entry immediately (set to status 3)? appears. Choose Yes to release the term.

Results

The status changes as follows:

Status 1: New Status 1: New to Status 3: Released Status 3: Released

Status 2: Changed Status 2: Changed to Status 3: Released Status 3: Released

Status 3: Released Status 3: Released to Status 2: Changed Status 2: Changed

Note

If a glossary entry exists for a term, it is not possible to reset this term to status 2 after this term has been set to status 3.

Once you have changed the status of a status 1 term, you cannot change the status of this term back to New.
