Prerequisites

To delete a term, you need superuser authorization.

Before you delete a term, you first need to call up a Where-Used
List for this term, to check that this term is not used in any
glossary links or as an index entry. For more information, see
Displaying the Where-Used List in Terminology
Concept.
Procedure
- Call transaction STERM.
- Enter the term you want to delete and choose Find.
- In the Terminology Concept screen for this term, choose .
- Choose
Continue to check that no documentation objects contain links
to this term.A dialog box appears asking you to confirm that you wish to delete the
entire terminology concept.
If a glossary entry exists for this term, an additional
dialog box will appear informing you of this fact.
- Choose Yes.
Results
The system sets the term to status 4 (to be deleted) and deletion takes place
automatically.
