You can use this process to configure the Shop Workbench plug-in and define its location in the POD.
You have defined the POD Work List in the List Maintenance activity (see List Maintenance).
You have set up the POD Work List on the Options tab page of POD Maintenance (see POD Maintenance).
In System Rule Maintenance, you verify or change the setting of the Display End Unit Number system rule (see Order Rules).
If set to false (default), does not display the End Unit Number field in the SFC Current Information section of the Shop Workbench plug-in.
In Activity Maintenance, you retrieve Shop Workbench (SHOP_WB_PLUGIN) and verify the activity rule settings.
The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity:
Rule |
Setting |
---|---|
BUYOFF_DISPLAY |
If set to YES (default), displays the Buyoffs node under the operation node |
BUYOFF_ROW_LIMIT |
Sets the row limit for buyoffs when displayed as a node in the Shop Workbench Default value: 100 |
COMPONENT_DISPLAY |
If set to YES (default), displays the Components node under the operation node |
COMPONENT_ROW_LIMIT |
Sets the row limit for components when displayed as a node in the Shop Workbench Default value: 100 |
DC_DISPLAY |
If set to YES (default), displays the Data Collections node under the operation node |
DC_ROW_LIMIT |
Sets the row limit for data collection when displayed as a node in the Shop Workbench Default value: 100 Example If the DC_ROW_LIMIT is set to 10, then 10 DC group rows will appear under the Data Collections folder of the operation node. If there are 12 DC groups, the system will display the first 10 entries of DC groups and a yellow triangle icon will appear next to the Data Collections folder indicating that the row limit has been reached with the icon’s tool tip displaying the message about the number of records exceeding the limit. In this case, the user would have to use a different POD, for example the Operation POD, to record data for all of the DC groups. End of the example. |

In POD Maintenance, you configure a POD that includes the Shop Workbench plug-in.
You can configure it as a fixed panel or popover (see Setting Up Operation and Work Center PODs).
Recommendation
Use the Work Center type POD of the 3 Panel Vertical Layout (with Popover) layout type with the Shop Workbench defined as the Panel A Default Plug-in.
Note
There is predefined Default Shop Workbench POD (SHOP_WORKBENCH_DEF) that uses the layout type of 3 Panel Vertical Layout (with Popover).
