A person such as a production operator, engineer, supervisor, or system administrator who works with the SAP Manufacturing Execution system

Structure

Users can have the following attributes:

  • Last Name

  • First Name

  • E-Mail Address

  • Status

  • Employee Number

  • Badge Number

  • Hire Date and Termination Date

  • User Group

  • Assigned Work Centers

  • Defined Labor Tracking and Labor rules

  • Defined Supervisor values

  • User specific related System Rules

  • Custom Data (see Custom Data)

Integration

You create users using SAP NetWeaver User Management Engine (UME) (see Administration of Users and Roles).

You assign users to at least the SAP_ME_USER role in SAP NetWeaver UME.

Other roles may be required for certain users for other capabilities in SAP ME.

The following figure illustrates the primary flow of user actions when creating a user in SAP NetWeaver UME, to be used in SAP ME:

You then assign users to user groups and modify user attributes in either User Maintenance or User Group Maintenance to define user permissions to SAP ME activities.
