Use

You can specify the number of consecutive days for which there are no requirements. The system then does not take these days into account in the kanban calculation. Instead, the system adopts the proposal the system calculated for the previous day for the days without requirements.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

In the example shown in the graphic, there are two days without requirements. If you enter a value greater than 2 in the Ignore Days Without Requirements field, the system adopts the proposal from the previous day (day 2), amounting to 4 containers, for the two days without requirements.

If you do not enter a value or enter a value smaller than the actual number of days without requirements, the system carries out the kanban calculation on the basis of the actual requirements, i.e. on days with 0 requirements the system then calculates a proposal with 0 kanban containers or a kanban quantity of 0.

Prerequisites

You have specified a value in the Ignore Days Without Requirements field on the initial screen of the transaction Create Change Proposal (PK07). See also: Carry Out Automatic Kanban Calculation .
