An occurrence that may affect production and requires a response from the system

You set up events in Event Maintenance activity (see Event Maintenance and Event Maintenance - Fields).

The system triggers events when something goes beyond the planned manufacturing parameters (see Real Time Warnings Maintenance and SPC Alarm Severity Maintenance). You can set up the system so that when a nonconformance is logged using a particular code, an alarm message is sent to the appropriate responsible personnel.

The event notification messages created and maintained in Event Maintenance can include replaceable parameters (see Replaceable Parameters).

Example Example

You can include %SFC% in a message so that when the message is sent, the specific SFC number is inserted into the message:

SFC number 6754 is not being produced per design.

Message to be sent: “SFC %UNIT_SFC% has been nonconformed”.

Result when event is triggered: SFC 6754 has been nonconformed.

End of the example.
