Events
The system allows you to set up incoming and outgoing event notification parameters. These events require some kind of a response from the system.
The system response can take the form of:
Storing the event in the database, to be viewed through the Event Viewer activity (see Event Viewer)
Notifying, a defined user, via an e-mail message
Displaying a notification of a real-time event message in a POD (see Real-Time Warning)
Automatically clearing an event so it is not viewable in the Event Viewer activity but is still in the database itself
Automatically deleting an event from the database
When you set up events, you decide the following:
What types of events you want the system to trigger and how you want these event types to be handled
Whether you want to send e-mail event notifications
Whether you want to display a real-time event to the POD if yield processing and consecutive identical nonconformance criteria are not met
Whether you want an operator to view and/or clear events
What types of notifications you want the system to send or ignore
What type of event and event activity you want to occur if yield processing and consecutive identical nonconformance criteria are not met
Whether an event is automatically or manually cleared or closed
Whether the clearing of an event requires a corrective action code
