Packing data types allow you to specify which type of data you want to collect during the packing process.

The system provides the following optional data types for collecting information during the packing process:

  • Packing Container

    When you want the operator to collect information about the container number being packed.

  • Packing SFC

    When you want the operator to collect information about each SFC number or container being packed into a container.

You define what data to collect in Data Type Maintenance (see Data Type Maintenance).

The packing data types that you define in Data Type Maintenance will then be assigned in the following fields of the Main tab page of Container Maintenance (see Container Maintenance):

  • Container Data Type

  • SFC Data Type

Pack/Unpack checks the packing data type to determine the fields to display for data collection.
