Definition of Layouts with Characteristics
You can use this function to define layouts in single-level list editing for technical objects (functional locations and equipment) with characteristics.
When you choose the Layout for Characteristics pushbutton, you have the following options for defining a layout for characteristics:
Change and Save Layout
You can change a layout by defining which characteristics of the selected classes should be displayed. You can also define user layouts.
Choose Layout
You can pick a layout for displaying the characteristics.
Manage Layout
You can set one of the layouts as the default layout or delete the default setting.
See Displaying Characteristics.
Note
The dialog box for selecting a class only appears if the system has found more than one class.
In the Display Characteristics function, the system displays one column per characteristic, even if the characteristic occurs in more than one class. In this function, however, the system adds a column for each characteristic per class, meaning there can be several columns for the same characteristic if it belongs to several classes.
Choose the Layout for Characteristics pushbutton and choose one of the options.
For more information about defining user layouts, see Definition of User Layouts with Characteristics.
