Swapping of Equipment
Use
In the transaction for installation and dismantling, you can also swap pieces of equipment at different installation locations with one another.

Note the prerequisites described under Change of the Actual Configuration.
Features
The Configuration Control component contains the following functions for swapping equipment:
● The system can automatically generate or update a notification to document the transaction. This function is enabled by the Business Add-In (BAdI) BADI_CCM_NOTIF_GENER.
● You can perform a forced swap. This is a swap that takes place despite a validation error reported by the system. A forced swap is saved in the equipment master record and indicated as such. It requires a special authorization.
● If you use integrated functions in the Configuration Control Workbench, the system can perform a local configuration check against the allowed configuration of the respective technical object to establish the material validity.
● You can simulate the swap.
