Goods Movements 

Use

Installing or dismantling a piece of equipment results in a status change for a piece of equipment. This status change is represented in inventory management by a goods movement.

Prerequisites

·        SAP ECC Extension PLM is activated.

·        The piece of equipment to be changed has a material number and a serial number.

·        To post goods movements, you have created an implementation of the BAdI IEQCM_GOODS_MOVEMENT. The data required for the goods movement is made available by this implementation.

Features

When the actual history is replaced with the target history, the system checks if the prerequisites for the goods movement have been met.

If the answer is yes, the system transfers a proposal for the material number, date, and movement type to the BAdI IEQCM_GOODS_MOVEMENT. The system proposes the movement type that is entered in Customizing under Plant Maintenance and Customer Service → Maintenance and Service Processing → Configuration Control → Make General Settings for Installation/Dismantling.

Activities

The system documents both the result of the check and also the generated material documents in the conversion log.
