Changing an Equipment History
You can make backdated changes to an equipment history. The following data is taken into account and corrected:
· Equipment history and equipment master data that is relevant to the history
· Definition of the measurement reading transfer, as well as the adjustment of the related measurement documents
· Notifications that are related to installation, dismantling, and replacement

By using backdated changes, you may generate inconsistencies in your master data. You should therefore back up your data before you use the function.
Read the documentation to learn how to use the function and about the consequences of using it.
Test the scope of the function in a test system to recognize problems in advance, for example, problems that can arise because of customer enhancements.
The graphic represents the change process for the equipment history.

The process comprises three phases:
...
1. Replace the actual history with the target history
2. Create the relationships for the measurement reading transfer
There is a user interface for phases 1 and 3 only; the 2nd phase is executed automatically in the background.

The process supports the use of interim statuses.
The process is documented in a conversion log.
