Procedure documentation Displaying the Actual Configuration  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In the configuration control workbench, you can display the actual configuration of a technical object as a tree structure. The actual configuration shows the current hierarchy structure of the technical object and is composed of functional locations, equipment, equipment BOM items (non-serialized parts), and structure gaps.

You can do the following:

Load the overall actual configuration of an object

Filter particular objects and thus only partially load the actual configuration of an object

In addition, you can display detailed information for the individual objects of the tree.

Prerequisites

You have maintained an equipment hierarchy or a mixed hierarchy of functional locations and equipment for the technical object concerned.

If you filter certain objects and only want to partially load the actual configuration, your definition of the BADI_CCM_EXPLOSION Business Add-Ins (BAdI) must be active.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose Logistics Plant Maintenance Technical Objects Configuration Control Configuration Control Workbench from the SAP Easy Access screen.

The Configuration Control Workbench screen is displayed:

       2.      If you want to display the hierarchy of a functional location, choose Functional Location in the list field.

If you want to display an equipment hierarchy, choose Equipment in the list field.

       3.      Enter a functional location or a piece of equipment and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Load.

Example

If you have activated an implementation of the BADI_CCM_EXPLOSION BAdI, you can see two different functions: Load and Enhanced Load. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Business Add-Ins Configuration Control.

The desired equipment or functional location is displayed in the navigation area of the configuration control workbench.

Note

Equipment that is linked with iPPE access nodes of the master parts list is displayed in red and can be used as reference equipment for an overall configuration check.

Detail Data for Functional Locations

In the Details for Functional Location screen area, you can find the name of the selected functional location.

Detail Data of Equipment

In the Details for Equipment screen area, you can find important information about the selected equipment:

      Material and serial number

      Function identifier, if maintained

iPPE access nodes and variants, if the equipment concerned is linked with an iPPE access node of the allowed configuration.

      Superordinate object

You can also enter the function identifier of the equipment in the screen area with the details.

Detail Data of Equipment BOM Item

In the Details for Equipment BOM Item screen area, you can find important information about the selected non-serialized material:

      Material number

      Function identifier, if maintained

      Item number

      Quantity

      Superordinate object

You can also enter the function identifier of the equipment in the screen area with the details.

Detail Data of Structure Gaps for Equipment and Equipment BOM Items

The Details for Structure Gaps screen area contains important data about the selected structure gap:

Either the functional location or the piece of superordinate equipment where a part is missing

      Function identifier, if maintained

Equipment number, in the event that the structure gap was created as a result of an equipment removal (only applicable for structure gaps replacing equipment)

Quantity (only applicable for structure gaps replacing equipment BOM items)

Item number (only applicable for structure gaps replacing equipment BOM items)

You can also enter the function identifier of the equipment in the screen area with the details.
