You use this activity to log NC codes against one or more selected SFC numbers in the POD.

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity (NC_DATA_ENTRY) in Activity Maintenance:

Rule

Setting

ALLOW_PARTIAL

YES: The partial quantity processing of SFC number in the POD for immediate scrap is allowed.

NO (default): The partial quantity processing of SFC numbers in the POD for immediate scrap is not allowed. The entire SFC quantity is dispositioned.

AUTO_SPLIT

NEVER (default): Does not automatically split off partial quantity of an SFC for nonconformance dispositioning.

ASK: Presents a dialog box that allows the operator to split off partial quantity of an SFC for nonconformance dispositioning. Applicable to routings with or without relaxed routing flow.

ALWAYS: Automatically splits off partial quantity of an SFC for nonconformance dispositioning. Applicable to routings with or without relaxed routing flow.

For auto-split to work, the Copy NC Data system rule must be set to true (see Serialization Rules).

PLUGIN_URL

Specifies the plug-in location in the SAP ME folder structure

Default value:/COM/SAP/ME/NONCONFORMANCE/CLIENT/NCDATAENTRY.JSP

Caution Caution

Any changes to the PLUGIN_URL activity rule setting in Activity Maintenance may result in incorrect display of the plug-in in the POD.

RELAXED_APPLY_TO_ALL

The Apply to All checkbox appears only if multiple SFC numbers have been selected in the POD or in Standalone NC Logging.

YES: You can use Apply to All for multiple SFC numbers even if they have different characteristics such as operation, BOM, material, NC history, and routing.

NO (default): You can use Apply to All for multiple SFC numbers only if they have the same characteristics.

WORK_INSTR_PLUGIN_ID

WI_LIST_DISPLAY (default): Specifies the Work Instructions List plug-in to be used in NC client where work instructions can be viewed

NC Code

Specifies the NC codes to be logged against an SFC number

Comments

Provides the ability to log comments associated with this SFC number. Can be later viewed from the SFC Detail Report.

As-Built

Provides a link to As-Built Configuration where you can optionally remove and add components

Note that this link appears on the screen depending on the settings defined in NC Client Maintenance.

Ignore Component for Highlighting

If selected, the Visual Test and Repair plug-in ignores the component name in the Component field in the NC Data Entry plug-in and only uses the value in the Ref Des field to find and highlight a component in the Model Viewer (see Visual Test and Repair (VTR) and Visual Test and Repair Plug-In).

Add

Logs a primary or secondary NC code

Add-Done

Logs a primary or secondary NC code, completes the NC Data Entry session, dispositions the SFC number (if enabled) and clears the screen

Work Instructions

Displays work instructions set in NC Client Maintenance

Note that this button appears on the screen depending on the settings defined in NC Client Maintenance.
