Test Program for Printing from the Supplier
Workplace
If the user of the Supplier Workplace has problems when printing a document or cannot print the document, you, as the operator, can use this test program to check which errors have occurred and correct them. You can then simulate the printing process. However, the print document is not displayed.
In three steps, the test program analyzes the possible causes of the errors, generates a log for the error and informs you of the necessary measures to correct the error.
You use this test program to determine whether all necessary program adjustments for the generation of the PDF files in the print program are available. If the test program finds an error, the necessary program adjustments are missing from the relevant print program and you must add them. This is particularly the case if you are dealing with a customer-specific program or SAP standard programs that were copied before the installation of the DI46C2 System.
You can find further information about the adjustments under Adjusting the Print Routines and in the SAP note 386221 in the SAP Support Portal.
To run the test, you require the following details from the user of the Supplier Workplace:
· Type of document, so that you can enter the corresponding process code. If, for example, there is a problem during the printing of the forecast delivery schedule, you enter the process code 03. To determine the process codes, see Adjusting the Print Routines.
· Application data of the document that is to be printed: if it is a forecast delivery schedule, you require, for example, the scheduling agreement number, the item number the delivery schedule number.
The error analysis consists of three steps:
● The test program checks the settings for the printing of the relevant business process.
● It then accesses the message determination function in the same way as the affected function of the Supplier Workplace would access it. A list of errors that have occurred and of suggestions for correcting them appears.
● If you have been able to correct the error, the system simulates the print process and checks whether a PDF file could be generated.

1. In Customizing, choose Materials Management →Supplier Workplace → Test Program for Printing from the Internet.
2. Enter the corresponding process code.
3. Depending on the process code, you must make one or more entries for the relevant document.
4. The program checks, among other things, whether a preferred message type has been entered and whether the indicator Always has been set for this type, if necessary. The program also explains what the settings mean: if, for example, there is no preferred message type, you receive a message that says that the result of the message determination must be unique.
5. The program accesses the message determination function. You can see which message schema has been used and which condition records could be determined.
The system displays any errors, for example, a missing message condition record or a message determination result of more than one message and provides suggestions on how to correct the errors.
6. The program simulates the printing process.
