Transferring Plan Data from Profitability Analysis 

Use

You can transfer plan data from Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

Prerequisites

To transfer plan data, you need to have made the Customizing settings described in the section Configuring the Plan Data Transfer from Controlling .

Procedure

In Customizing, choose Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Planning → Transfer Planning Data from CO-PA.

       1.      Specify an operating concern and the desired type of profitability analysis (costing-based or account-based).

The Transfer to FI-GL: Initial Screen appears.

You transfer the plan data for the specified operating concern. If you then want to transfer plan data for a different operating concern, you need to reset the operating concern.

       2.      Enter the following:

○       The period from which the plan data needs to be transferred.

The format applied for the period (such as PPP.YY) is stored in the user master record.

○       The plan version from which the plan data needs to be transferred.

○       The record type

       3.      Set the following indicators:

○       If you only want to test the data transfer, set the Test Run indicator.

When this indicator is set, the tables in new General Ledger Accounting are not updated.

○       If you want to schedule the data transfer to be run in the background, set the Background Processing indicator. Make all necessary settings for background processing.

       4.      Choose Execute.

Only run the data transfer in online mode when no other users are performing postings. If another user is performing a posting at the same time, you should only transfer data from posting periods that have been closed.

Result

The plan data is transferred to the desired ledgers in new General Ledger Accounting.
