Transferring Plan Data from Cost Center
Accounting
You can transfer plan data from Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM) as documents. When you do so, you can check whether plan data has already been transferred to the ledger through real-time integration.
To transfer plan data, you need to have made the Customizing settings described in the section Configuring the Plan Data Transfer from Controlling .
In Customizing, choose Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Planning → Transfer Planning Data from CO-OM.
The CO Document Transfer: Planning Data to General Ledger screen appears.
1. Enter the following:
○ The controlling area or the range of controlling areas
○ The document number or the range of document numbers
○ The fiscal year or the range of fiscal years
○ The version or the range of versions
○ The CO business transaction or the range of CO business transactions
○ The cost element or the range of cost elements
2. Set the following indicators:
○ If you want to view a list of statistics for the data transfer, set the List Posted Records indicator.
○ If you only want to test the data transfer, set the Test Run indicator.
When this indicator is set, the tables in new General Ledger Accounting are not updated.
○ If you want to check if data records currently exist in FI-SL for the documents you want to transfer, set the Check for Existing Records indicator.
When this indicator is set, data already present in the ledgers in new General Ledger Accounting are not overwritten.

To use the Check for Existing Records function, you need to use line items for the parallel ledger.
3. Choose Execute.

Only run the data transfer in online mode when no other users are performing postings. If another user is performing a posting at the same time, you should only transfer data from posting periods that have been closed.
