You use this transaction to generate and maintain libraries.

Procedure

  • Call the transaction for maintaining libraries (transaction SLIBN).

    The Maintain Reuse Library initial screen appears. Here you have various options.

    Note Note

    If you choose the menu path   Environment   Reuse Product  , the system displays the Maintain Reuse Product screen (transaction SLIBP).

  1. In the text field Reuse Library enter the name of the library (using the input help if necessary. For more information, see Deleting Libraries).

  2. Choose .

    The Check Libraries dialog box appears.

  3. Determine the scope of the checks to be made and choose .

    If errors are found a list of messages is produced, otherwise you receive a message that no errors have been found.

  4. To go to the library or product where an error occurred, double-click one of the messages.

Displaying a where-used list for a library

  1. In the text field Reuse Library enter the name of the library (using the possible entries help if necessary).

  2. Choose .

    If the library has been used a list of messages is displayed, otherwise you receive a message that no uses have been found.

  3. To go to the library which uses the library you have chosen, double-click a line.

Refresh buffer

When the system displays the Reuse library, it does not access the database directly. Instead it uses a buffer. This is refreshed automatically.

  • To refresh the buffer manually, choose Buffer.

Transporting Libraries
Creating a list of libraries

  1. Choose

    The List of Libraries screen appears.

  2. Fill the selection fields you need to search for the required library.

  3. To start the search, choose .

    A List of Libraries screen listing those libraries that match the criteria appears.

  4. To open a library, double click the required library in the list.

Displaying a Preview in the Browser

  • To display a preview of a library in the Browser, choose .

Other Commands

The following commands are displayed in the main section of the screen:

To create a search index for full-text searches, choose   Utilities   Search Index   Create/Update  .
