Outbound Execution Using the Shipping Cockpit
You can use the Shipping Cockpit – Execution
for outbound execution using transportation units (TUs). It focuses on the main execution and monitoring tasks that are carried out in the shipping office.
The shipping office clerk monitors the warehouse progress of the outbound delivery orders assigned to TUs that are due to leave the warehouse today, in order to recognize potential delays. If a truck arrives, the shipping office clerk, for example, posts arrival at checkpoint and assigns a door. When the truck leaves, the shipping office clerk posts departure from door, goods issue, and departure from checkpoint.
To reduce the amount of time the clerk needs to spend working in the system, several actions are bundled together to be executed in a series in order to speed up the processing. For more information, see chapter Actions.
NetWeaver Business Client Desktop (Version 4.0 or higher) is installed on each local PC.
You have set up RFC connections.
If you are using staging area planning, Automatic Staging Area Assignment to TUs.
If you are using side panels, see Using Side Panels.
The user has at least the authorizations of the user roles /SCWM/SO_CLERK
or /SCWM/EXPERT
.
If you are using active yard management, the shipping cockpit can be used only if the yard warehouse number is identical to the warehouse number.
If you are using active yard management, you must perform the following actions in the yard management transactions instead of in the shipping cockpit:
Indicate that the TU has arrived at the checkpoint
Reverse the indication that the TU has arrived at the checkpoint
Indicate that the TU has arrived at the door
Indicate that the TU has departed from the door
