Business Context and Use
The Notify of Dock Appointment Change
outbound operation sends a notification about changes to a dock appointment to a third-party system, such as an external yard
management system that is connected to Site Logistics Processing, to ensure that dock appointment information is up to date.
For example, when a transportation unit is docked to a door, the operation sends current dock appointment data, such as the start processing time, to update the external system. In addition, the operation sends the complete dock appointment data to the third-party system, including the door and the assigned transportation unit appointment.
